Pontiac Drag Days — Last Race at LACR
Sadly, on July 22, 2007 Pontiac Drag Days' string of race seasons at LACR came to an end. At the end of the race day, we Pontiyakers staged our cars one last time at LACR. An eclectic gathering of Pontiacs from GTOs to Trans Ams to GTPs and everything in between assembled for this historic photo. Valve
Cover Spacers
Love those old Cal-Custom or M/T valve covers but just can't
get your roller rocker assembly to clear...or maybe you want to retain the
cool old look of those early Pontiac covers on your new engine. Well, these
valve cover spacers are the ticket.
These spacers are precision cut from 3/8" aluminum plate by a WaterJet to maintain a flat and true surface.
When used with a thin or no gasket between the spacer and head...and then with a standard valve cover gasket you will gain more than a 1/2" in room under your valve cover to clear your roller rocker assembly when using stock valve covers or classic after-market cover like the M/T or Cal-Customs. These also work grr-reat with the new Pontiac cast valve covers.
This allows you to add some clearance to your rockers without getting the valve covers into the brake booster that occurs with "tall" valve covers.
