Event T-Shirt Bracket Definitions
EVENT T-SHIRT
To celebrate the gathering of the GTOAA and the POCI a very special t-shirt have been designed for the 2009 Jim Wangers Co-Vention Drags. The shirt features the '63 ROYAL "Swiss Cheese" Super Duty that Wangers raced along side Wangers first GTO; the '64 GTO used by Car and Driver in the infamous GTO vs. GTO story.
The image is screen printed on 100% cotton heavy weight white t-shirts. T-shirts are available for purchase at www.4mypontiac.com.
MONEY BRACKETS
$50 Entry Fee — Cash will be award back to the Quarter-Finals (8 places)Chief Bracket (Electronics) - Competitors must be a Pontiac bodied car or run a "traditional" Pontiac engine. GM Corporate engines are allowed provided the car is a Pontiac.
Warrior Bracket (No Electronics) - No electronics/delay boxes allowed; transbrakes permitted. Competitors must be a Pontiac bodied car or run a "traditional" Pontiac engine or a factory authorized and installed engine ('77 and later models).
TROPHY BRACKETS
$35 Entry Fee — Trophies will be award back to the Semi-Finals (4 places)Stock Bracket - 11.50 & slower: The Stock Bracket is designed for stock and stock appearing competitors. The car must be a Pontiac and run a "traditional" Pontiac engine or a factory authorized and installed engine ('77 and later). No delay boxes, no electronics, no transbrakes, no race car lettering and no slicks allowed. DOT approved tires allowed.
GTO Bracket - 12.99 & slower: The GTO Bracket is a Non-Electronics bracket designed for stock and stock appearing competitors. The car must be a GTO and run a "traditional" Pontiac engine or a factory authorized and installed engine (2004 and later). No delay boxes, no electronics, no transbrakes, or no race car lettering. Slicks are allowed.
FWD Bracket - 11.50 & slower: The FWD Bracket is for GM Front-Drive cars (i.e. Grand Prix, Grand Am, Bonneville, etc.) Slicks are allowed.
$20 Entry Fee
Time Only - 11.50 & slower: This class is open to all Pontiac/GMC enthusiasts regardless of skill level. No awards.
